First British 20-pence

In 1982 the first 20-pence coin was issued in cupro-nickel by the British government, and quickly became a popular piece of history. This coin features a portrait of Her Majesty on the obverse, and a new design for the Royal Badge of the Rose of England on the reverse. The 20-pence is the equivalent of a double florin (4 shillings) in the old pre-decimal currency. This coin is packaged so that both obverse and reverse of the first coin of this denomination struck by the United Kingdom are visible. It makes a great addition to any collection, and a very affordable coin for introducing young collectors to the world coins market.
